Occupational Therapy & Parent Coaching
In-Home San Diego | Telehealth CA & CO
For families navigating routine chaos at home and school. Together, we move from overwhelm to understanding.

Occupational Therapy
Therapy happens in your home or school environments so you can build functional daily routines, emotional regulation strategies, and daily life skills, where the struggles actually happen.

Parent Coaching
Coaching helps you navigate parenting challenges in real-time, build co-regulation tools that work, and define your unique values so you can feel confident, connected, and calm leading your family.
You are doing your best with the resources available to you. Family life is hard to navigate.
I am here to help.
We have been a family working with Kendra for several years, across 3 kiddos different ages. Kendra offers the kids the advocacy and the tools in their toolbox to accomplish the tasks that may not come easily. She also takes the time to help parents to learn how to best support our kiddos through challenges they’re experiencing.

FAQ
How can you support my family?
Authentic Kids Therapy provides neurodiversity-affirming occupational therapy services for children and families. I support emotional regulation, sensory processing, executive functioning, handwriting, and emotional development. In addition, I offer parent coaching and curriculum-based tools that extend support into daily life.
Do you involve parents?
Yes, parent involvement is a central part of my approach when working with children.
In addition to parent involvement during pediatric therapy, I offer dedicated parent coaching for parents to build confidence, develop strategies, and apply skills for themselves.
What is your therapy style?
My approach is playful, reflective, and relationship-based. I begin by listening so your child and family can share your experiences and goals at your own pace.
Therapy is guided by child-led play, meaningful interaction, and targeted moments of direct instruction when helpful. I serve as a collaborative guide supporting your family’s unique developmental journey with care, responsiveness, and respect for individuality.
Do you coordinate with schools?
I would love to work with your school. To do so, it is important that we communicate in advance with your school team to discuss your their unique requirements when working with private practice providers. Please communicate ahead of time with your school before requesting in-school services with me.
Do you take insurance?
No. I do not accept insurance at this time.
Private pay allows us the freedom to cater our services to the unique needs of your child and family. Upon request, I can provide you with a superbill that you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement, in accordance with your policy.
Many insurance plans reimburse between 50% to 100% of out-of-network occupational therapy costs. I recommend calling your provider to check your out-of-network pediatric OT benefits.
What is Neurodiversity-Affirming Care?
Neurodiversity-affirming care means I support my clients without trying to force them to act in a standardized way. Instead, I focus on understanding how every person uniquely experiences the world. I then help them build skills and adapt environments that support regulation, confidence, and authenticity.
